Review: Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Palette

Happy Monday!! 🙂 During the Sephora sale, I ordered a few different things; one of them was the Too Faced Pardon My French Set! This set was such a great value, I simply couldn’t pass it up! Included was the Bonjour Soleil 2014 Eyeshadow Collection, a mini Shadow Insurance, and Lash Injection Mascara, and a full sized Waterproof Liner! If you are looking for a value set with all the summer eye essentials, this set is the way to go!

note: I believe you can only get the palette if you buy the set, and it is Sephora exclusive.

I love the Too Faced eyeshadows so much! They are so creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend! This palette certainly lived up to my expectations. On the left of each trio of shadows are labels that say Day, Classic, and Fashion (as on all Too Faced palettes). These are a guide to show you what shadows look best together, but you can certainly mix and match how you want.

The formulation of all of these shadows is lovely. However, Firefly (a burnt, shimmery orange) gives probably the least pigmentation of them all, which was a bit disappointing. And Sunbeam (a sheer, golden and sparkling highlight) has a bit of fallout, but nothing too bad.

Swatches are in order by rows top to bottom, and going left to right in the rows. First is Seashell, a matte peach color that compliments the next shimmery pink shade Plumeria perfectly. I love both these colors because you can build up the pigmentation and they blend so easily. Finally is Cocoa Beach, a medium chocolate brown with silver micro-glitters that give it a lovely finish. In the next row first is Sand Dollar. This is a matte cream color that is great to wear all over the lid to brighten up your eyes, or it works great as a highlighting shade. Firefly is burnt, sparkling orange color. This color gives the least payoff, but is nonetheless beautiful, especially on brown eyed ladies. Chocolate Sun is a dark brown with a very subtle shimmer, and is also the darkest of the three brown shades. Sunbeam is a almost completely sheer, golden color that is extremely shimmery. You can use this color on its own for a refulgent look, or on top of any other color you want to make glow in the sun. Mermaid is a stunning deep blue-green color. As it’s name suggests, it really reminds me of the ocean which makes it perfect for summer! The color payoff is also wonderful! Lastly, Toasted Coconut is a matte medium brown that really (I would say) looks exactly like the outside of a coconut! So, props to Too Faced for creating a shadow that looks exactly like a coconut! Hahaha!

This is a perfect palette for summer, and it’s small size makes it great for all your summer adventures! I highly recommend this! Remember, it’s limited edition, so grab it while you can! Thank you for reading, I hope this post was helpful! Have a blessed week, my beauties! xoxo
