FOTD: Soft Brows, and Bright Eyes

Hello, loves! I have another Face of The Day for you all! In the spring time, I like to use smaller amounts and lighter colors on my cheeks and eyes. Spring, for me, is all about getting a youthful, glowing, and romantic look that enhances natural beauty. Today I have a soft look that is perfect for opening up tired eyes, and giving a radiant glow; this look is also easy and fast to do, so if you’re in a rush, I got you girl! (…awkward..)

Brows are one of the most important features on your face and can really make or break a makeup look. For this look I used my Benefit Instant Brow pencil (I wear the Light-to-Medium shade); using small strokes to create the illusion of hairs, I filled in any sparse areas and filled in the top and bottom of my brows to make my brows appear fuller and thicker. Drawing on brows that look shorter and thicker instantly give you a more youthful and romantic effect.

I decided to keep it simple and focus strictly on opening up and brightening my eyes. I used my fingers to apply the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil  on half of my lid, keeping it pretty close to my lash line. After this I used my favorite highlighting shadow (Lace from the Skylark Snowkissed Cashmere Palette) and a flat eyeshadow brush and sweeped the color on my brow bone, center of my lid, and the inner corner of my eye. Finally, I topped it off with a coat of mascara. (Sorry my lashes look a bit messy, oh the struggles of having long lashes.)

Though not pictured, I finished this look with a light pink blush and a muted pink lip gloss. I love this look because it takes me only 5-7 minutes to do, and gives me the perfect romantic glow.
