March 2014 Favorites!

It’s that time of the month again, loves! ….No no, not thaaat time of the month, silly! 😉 We’ve reached the end of March so it’s time to share my monthly favorites!! I have a few amazing products to share this month so let’s get right to it!

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Peach Pop

First of all, just the way this blush looks makes you fall in love with it. I mean…how can you not be happy when you look at it? Peach Pop looks like an intimidating coral-peach color but when applied it gives you a subtle pop of coral on your cheeks that gives your skin that radiant springtime glow. The blush applies like a dream: it goes on smoothly, lasts for hours, and gives you a natural finish that looks like you’re blushing from within. I think I’m going to need the three other colors in my life very soon. I love this blush so much and I highly recommend it!

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation

I know I’m late on the bandwagon with this foundation, but I simply have to mention it. I had remarked in a previous post that I have struggled for years with finding a foundation that matches on my porcelain skin, doesn’t break me out, and has good lasting power. A few weeks ago I went into Sephora and had one of the color artists match me with a foundation, and the one we ended up choosing is this one. I wear the shade 110 Pink Porcelain and it is a perfect match for my skin! Not only is it a perfect match but it doesn’t break me out or exaggerate my already oily t-zone. I could go on and on about this foundation, but since there has already been so much hype, I’m going to stop myself. Overall, this truly is a fabulous product. note: I apply it using the Sephora Classic Mineral Powder Brush

Benefit Instant Brow Pencil

I rediscovered this product in my makeup collection this month; I bought this a couple of months back and just kind of forgot about it. I love this product so much because it lasts all throughout the day and is super easy to apply. You can use this to fill in sparse areas on your brows, create a new brow look, or just to darken them up if you have light brows like me. I always avoid doing brows because it is such a pain, but this brow pencil makes it so easy and quick. It also comes with a handy-dandy spoolie brush on the other end which is always convenient.

Other Beauty Favorites:

Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter

This is seriously one of the greatest smelling body butters I have ever tried; not only does the smell transport you to the beach but it’s not too overpowering either. Most lotions/body butters smell way to strong for me, but this one is just the right combination. Besides the scent, it’s extremely hydrating and makes your skin look and feel like butter. After my shower, I apply this on my legs and arms and any other dry areas on my body; immediately it makes your skin feel soft. If bought in stores, it comes at the bargain price of 5 dollars! It’s really a purchase worth making if you love coconut and soft skin!

Safeway Brand Cotton Pads

I know…this is a slightly strange thing to include in a monthly favorites but something about these cotton pads is so extraordinary. They are so fluffy and gentle on your skin and one bonus for me is that when I clean around my new ear-piercing little pieces of cotton don’t get stuck on my earring. So, if you ever are out of cotton pads you should really check these out!

Bath & Body Works Raspberry Peach Macaron

It’s no secret that I am a crazy candle-collecting-fanatic-lady or that I am obsessed with macarons, so naturally I had to have this candle. I thought this candle would just smell like raspberry and peach, but there are hints of almond and vanilla that really make this candle smell like a macaron. I am not huge on really sweet scents, but I am in LOVE with this smell and I need to stock up on a bunch of these in case they don’t bring it back next year. So, Bath & Body Works, if you’re reading this, please bring back this candle next year, it’s incredible!!!

That’s all for my favorites this month. I hope everyone had an amazing month of March and an even better April! Thanks for reading! xoxo
