Hey there, fantastic readers! First of all, happy March! Who’s excited for Spring Break? Because I know I DEFINITELY am! I am in serious need of some relaxation at the beach…but first we have to get through these last few days. This spring, two makeup items that I used to never be into that I have become obsessed with and just want a bunch of different colors are blush and lip-gloss. I have been on the hunt for a light pink and coral lip-gloss, and also a bunch of bright blush shades. While shopping at Target this weekend the color of this gloss caught my eye. I loved it so much and thought it was perfect for the Springtime. So, let’s get down to the details and review of this gloss.
I picked up the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in the shade Pango Peach this weekend because I completely fell for the color. It’s a very unique peach color that has a slight pinky-coral tone to it and pieces of subtle golden glitter to add an extra shine. As bright as the color looks on my hand and in the packaging, it is quite sheer when applied to the lips. I have never been a fan of the usual consistency of lip-glosses which is why I usually never purchase them, though I do love the look of them. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It’s a thicker and less wet formula that has fairly decent lasting power and stickiness is minimal. This product is by no means perfect, but I find when wearing this I don’t feel like there is a bunch of goop on my lips that my hair and everything else is just going to stick to.
This is the perfect color for spring this year, as more orange-based lip colors have been on trend. So if you’re wanting to experiment with orange-esque lip colors but aren’t sure how bold you want to go, this is the perfect color. I also find that the coral undertones that the gloss has makes it a flattering color on my fellow fair-skinned ladies.
The packaging is nice, simple, and clean. The color of the gloss is true to what you see in the packaging which is refreshing since some packaging for lip products can be illusory. The applicator is also simple: it’s just your basic lip applicator (sponge? I’m not quite sure what the right word is, so I hope you all kinda know what I’m trying to say) but it’s slightly smaller than most applicators which allows for more precision when applying.
I think that covers everything…overall I think it’s a gorgeous color and the consistency is better than most out there (especially drugstore glosses). If you are looking for a less expensive spring lip-gloss, I do recommend this.
Have a good week, loves! If you’ve been feeling down try to lift your spirits by filling yourself with happy thoughts, and surrounding yourself with people who have positive energy and build you up. If that doesn’t make you feel any better, break out your two BFFs…mascara and lip stick. That pair can make any girl feel better. xoxo
